You can avoid to trigger this quest by not going to near while you see thugs surrounding Vesna during night and that way get your preparations ready to get Oil and to do those other quests which get you in a better spot for defending Vesna. Just wish to report back after I started my new game, I am able to meet Vesna. This time I ran all the way to her Grans home, so she has at least 1/2 of her health left. I meditated till dusk and she was standing in front of the Mill. I guess she might have been killed on her way to the Mill in my previous game. Anyway, thanks for everyone's help.
The quest will never even start.. she is just dead.. Was anything important gotten from this? or is it just xp? like a glossary or something.. i guess her character index would get updated but other then that.. did i miss anything?
