The 3925656 case saw usage starting in 1968. My books go only to 1975, but it was used through 68-75 on all Saginaw 4 speeds. The Saginaw 3 speed and 4 speed built in those years have the same dimensions and input/output shafts, so they should be a direct swap. I don't have any information about the 76-81 Saginaws so I can't tell you anything ...

I did this a couple of years ago can't find the invoice but I think the gear set was about $450 the OH kit $150. The parts are made by auto gear equipment. The gear set has the cluster, 2nd gear to balance the split and 3rd gear for the OD. The new ratios are 2.20, 1.51, 1.00, .859. Makes a 4.11 rear act like a 3.55.

One is a 3925661 the other #'s on it are 39821 and 3088336 and it doesn't have a ring on the tail shaft.
